Art and Land's End

There are more art galleries in Cornwall than any other county in Great Britain. Artists began coming to Cornwall to paint several decades ago because of the quality of the light.

Art and Cornwall are inextricably interlinked. St Ives is famous for irts art colony and a branch of the Tate Modern. Artwork, pottery and other crafts are produced and displayed in galleries all around Cornwall. The art gallery at Land's End is shown below. Pop in to see the artist at work and admire the many sparkling seascapes.

The sea and marine life are popular subjects for arts and crafts in Cornwall. Holidaymakers have the time to stand and admire artwork. A painting or lightcatcher would remind you of your holiday to Cornwall for may years later.

Cornwall is inspirational for art and photography holidays because of the diversity of landscapes, seascapes, wild flowers, insects, birds and other subjects offering endless beautiful images.
